Why are some contacts missing from the map?

Check the selected source and any active filters first. Contacts need a usable coordinate or an address that can be located. Review Diagnostics for missing or uncertain addresses; approving Contacts access does not map them automatically.

Can I use iMap without sharing my address book?

Yes. Contacts access is optional. Import a file or work with other map features instead. You can review permissions in iOS Settings.

Will my old .imap file open?

iMap 6.1 supports legacy contact .imap imports. Keep the original and import a copy, then check the count and important fields. Older file layouts can vary, so contact support if anything looks wrong. Importing an export is different from upgrading an installed app database.

What should I do if older data will not open?

Leave the app installed and do not reset its data. Keep any recovery files or original exports. Email support with your previous and current app versions, device, and the exact error. Deleting the app removes its local data.

Does the update cover both old iMap apps?

The upcoming 6.1 release is an update to the iMap HD / iMap 5.0 App Store record. Existing purchasers of that record do not need to buy it again. The separate original iMap purchase is a different app record; it is not automatically covered. See the upgrade guide before making another purchase.

Why do directions open in Apple Maps?

iMap builds and saves your stop plan. Next Leg hands the next destination to Apple Maps for navigation. Mark stops Visited or Skipped in iMap to keep your plan moving.

Is everything available offline?

Saved content is stored locally, but address lookup, nearby search, map content, and directions may need internet access. Do not assume a map or route will be available offline.

How do I report a problem safely?

Send the app version, device model, iOS version, and steps to reproduce the issue. A screenshot with private details removed can help. Do not send passwords or a full contact list; share a small anonymized sample only if requested.
