PRIVACY POLICY

Your data,
explained.

Clear choices for the information you bring into iMap.

Updated October 22, 2026

iMap is provided by Stephen Flournoy / Advanced Business Concepts. For privacy and support questions, email stephen@mprinted.com.

Stored on your device

Imported contacts, map pins, saved routes, trails, notes, photos and recordings are stored locally. Device backups may include this data according to your Apple backup settings. iMap does not operate a developer-hosted account or sync service.

Maps and location

Apple's mapping services process the addresses, search terms and locations needed for maps, address lookup and directions. Location access also shows your position. Background location is used for trail recording and reminders you enable. You can change permissions in Settings.

Contacts and attachments

Contacts access lets you choose and map address-book contacts. Camera, photo library and microphone permissions support attachments and voice notes. Denying these permissions leaves the related feature unavailable; you can still use other parts of iMap.

Speech recognition

Transcription uses Apple's speech recognition. On-device recognition is preferred when available; otherwise audio may be processed by Apple. Speech recognition requires your system permission.

Sharing and support

Exports and backups are shared only through destinations you choose. Those destinations have their own privacy practices. If you email support, we receive what you include; send only the information needed to resolve your request.

Your choices

You can revoke permissions in iOS Settings and delete individual content or use iMap's data-management tools. Keep an exported backup before deleting data or the app. Deleting the app removes its local data but does not remove copies you exported or device backups.

Advertising and tracking

iMap includes no advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not sell your contact, location or note data. Apple services are governed by Apple's privacy policies.

This website

This support website is hosted on Vercel. We have not added advertising, analytics scripts, or a contact-data collection form. The hosting service processes requests needed to deliver pages, which may include technical information such as IP addresses. Email links open your mail app, and you choose what to send.
